Perceptions
Perceptions are pretty funny things. We are often convinced that our experiences are reality, but actually, most of what we experience is filtered through our beliefs and what we focus on which leads to our perceptions of "reality".

I have been thinking a lot about my perceptions lately and how much of what I experience is distorted based on my perceptions. I recently watched an old home video of spending time with someone who I remembered not liking me much and always being angry with me. Do you know what I saw? I saw him smile fondly at me. At the time the video was shot, I never saw that fond smile. The filter through which I saw him had the story that he didn't like me attached to it, and that was all I was able to see.
Do you ever do that in your life? Start paying attention. How much of what you perceive is being filtered through a story you are attached to that is distorting the image? It's amazing how much can shift by becoming aware of it.
