Sometimes it's more about what to do
Sometimes it's not about what to think, it's about what to do. Most of us have spent a fair amount of time on personal growth - clearing out old beliefs that keep us stuck, understanding how our relationships with our parents have impacted our lives, reading book after book about forgiveness, mindfulness, fear, etc. All of these things are helpful in sorting through the muck, but at some point, finding that peace within becomes more about what to do than what to think. For most of us, there isn't a magic switch that gets flipped and you become forever peaceful. Bringing yourself back to that space becomes a way of life.
I have come leaps and bounds in my own life. My level of my awareness of myself, my connection to Spirit, and my sense of peace within are so much deeper than even three years ago, but I have a daily and weekly practice to bring me back to that space. I meditate most mornings - so I can start the day cleared out and calm. Then I come back to that space of being centered in my body as I move throughout my day. Another thing I do is spend time in nature. Being near water and trees is essential for me to feel connected and at peace.
I encourage you to spend some time thinking about what fills you up and make time in your week to do it. If you want to share what you do to fill yourself up, I would love to post it for others to read.
